The UT Austin Child Development Center comissioned me to produce 40-foot a mural design for a long concrete wall in their outdoor playground area. The mural is currently under construction and will be made with glass and clay fragments in a tradidional mosaic style.

The design incorporates only flora and fauna native to the Austin area:
The title text reads “What Starts Here Changes The World”, the message meant to inspire and invigorate the children growing up playing beside the mural, and their teachers and caregivers.
An educational key identifying each plant and creature in the design will be installed next to the mural.

My digital design was printed on vinyl and applied to the surface as a base guide for the mural construction. I created a “color by number” style guide
for the artists and staff members creating the final mosaic.
